# Search Console: Sitemaps

> The sitemaps submitted for the property in Search Console and how Google read them: how many URLs each submits, when it was submitted and last read by Google, and its errors and warnings. A line compares them with the URLs this crawl found in the site's sitemaps.

Numbered parts of the screenshot:

1. **Refresh.** Reads the list from Google again, and when it was read. It needs the account, so it is off on a saved report.
2. **Counts.** **sitemaps**, **URLs submitted**, **Errors** (red when there are any) and **Warnings**, over all the sitemaps.
3. **Against the crawl.** **This crawl found {n} URLs in the site's sitemaps.**
4. **Sitemap and Type.** The sitemap's address, and **sitemap**, **sitemap index** or the type Search Console gives.
5. **URLs submitted, Submitted.** How many URLs the sitemap submits, and when it was submitted.
6. **Last read by Google.** When Google last downloaded it, then its errors and warnings.

## The table

| Column | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| Sitemap | The address of the sitemap. **waiting for Google** beside it when Search Console has not processed it yet. |
| Type | **sitemap index** for an index of sitemaps; otherwise the type Search Console gives, such as sitemap. |
| URLs submitted | The URLs Search Console counts in it. |
| Submitted, Last read by Google | When it was submitted, and when Google last downloaded it; a dash when unknown. |
| Errors, Warnings | What Search Console reported when it read the sitemap. Errors are red. |

## States and messages

- **Reading** — the app says: "Reading the sitemaps submitted to Search Console" The wait bar while the list is read.
- **None submitted** — the app says: "No sitemap has been submitted for this property in Search Console." Search Console has no sitemap for the property.
